Small Grant Applications

Each year, the Parish Council makes a budget provision of monies that may be used to provide financial assistance for community improvements. The financial value of such assistances are generally small in value - usually no more than a few hundred pounds.

Previous examples of such assistances have included school holiday sports events, school PTA support, canoe club aid, etc. 

The assistance would be in the form of a monetary 'Small Grant' that has to be formally applied for, and would be discussed by the Parish Council at its scheduled meetings.

The Small Grant Application would normally be made by a representative of a recognised group, club, committee, or team.

The Parish Council in its considerations will primarily seek a demonstration that the grant will directly benefit persons that are residents of the Parish of Minshull Vernon and District. The Parish Council may approve the full grant as applied for, or recommend a partial grant against the requested amount, based upon a deliberation of the recognised benefit to the community.

It should be noted and accepted that the Parish Council are under no defined obligation to accept or honour, in full or part, any Grant Application. All applications shall be reviewed on their individual merits.
